When a loved one passes, we aim to take as much stress and pressure off the family and assist in all aspects of the funeral arrangements. Once contact is made with Charles Rourke & Sons, we operate a 24/7 personal service, we can either meet with you in our funeral home, or at your family home.
In order to arrange a funeral, there a number of different decisions which will need to be made. Such as:
- Is a burial or cremation to be arranged?
- Death registration – see here for further information.
- Funeral venue – church, house, or crematorium. If a burial is to be arranged, what graveyard do you wish to have the committal?
- Officiant – a member of clergy, humanist or family member to officiate the funeral service.
- Is there to be a wake in the family home, or do you require the use of our funeral church?
- Select a coffin from our range of coffins.
- Funeral notices – to be placed online (Funeral Times, RIP.ie or our Facebook page.) Or any newspapers.
- Family flowers to be ordered.
- Service sheet/Mass leaflet to be printed.
Each funeral is unique to every family, with that we can accommodate each family with whatever request they might have in order to provide the appropriate send off for their family member.
